Reduction of thickness
Our proposal includes reducing the thickness of standard materials without compromising their performance, thus reducing the impact plastic materials have on the environment.
Use of single materials
As forerunners of recyclability. If it is already consolidated for PET, for other materials is quickly developing.
Use of biodegradable or compostable materials
Effegidi closely collaborates with companies looking into innovative eco-friendly materials.
The last FachPack exhibition held in Nurnberg has highlighted studies that could become extraordinary reality in the world of plastics.

AN EXAMPLE AMONG OTHERS
Nowadays, we are focusing on PLA (Polylactic acid), which is made from polymerization of lactic acid produced from corn starch.
With PLA completely biodegradable containers and sealing films can be obtained. The main feature is in fact the rapid degradation of PLA products.
In a short time this bioplastic turns into soil and fertilizer for the soil thus closing the cycle: waste quickly becomes a useful and natural resource.
In addition, PLA is produced with natural and renewable raw materials and not from oil.
